A sworn or affirmed statement. She administers the oath. She does not write the statement.

Sworn statements prepared by someone else. She notarizes them. She does not draft them.

Authority given from one person to another, with every signer identified.

Real estate and loan packages. Listed as customary work until signing-agent appointments are confirmed.

Home, office, hospital, or care facility. The trip is scheduled. It is not assumed.

How an appointment goes
Prepared, punctual, and finished before you leave.
Step 01
Describe the paper
What it is, how many signers, and whether the meeting is at the office or somewhere you name.
Step 02
Keep the time
The appointment starts when it was set. If she will be late, she calls before that time.
Step 03
Come ready
Photo identification, the unsigned document, and witnesses if the document demands them.
Step 04
Leave finished
Certificate completed, stamp on the document, and your papers back in your hands.
What to bring
- Current government-issued photo identification for every signer.
- Every signer, physically present.
- The document filled in, not signed early, with no blanks left to fill in later.
- Any witnesses the document itself requires.
- The fee quoted when the appointment was set.
- A few minutes to spare. If you will be late, call before the time that was set.
What this practice does not do
- Give legal advice, choose a form, or draft the document.
- Issue an apostille. That comes from the Tennessee Secretary of State.
- Notarize a blank page, or identify a person who is not in the room.
- Practice medicine, or advise you about a medical decision.
Substantial, and specific about the limit.
Acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, and powers of attorney, handled in person. Loan packages are listed because they are customary, and only if she has agreed to the appointment. An apostille, if you need one, comes from the Tennessee Secretary of State.
This is not a law firm. You will find a person who is where she said she would be, with the stamp on your document.
