Appointments, not drop-ins

The time you are given is the time she starts.

Serendipity Notary runs on a book, not on whoever happens to call at the door. Wendy Sheets sets the meeting, confirms what to bring, and keeps that hour.

By appointment · 114 Stuart Rd. NE, Cleveland, TN 37312

  • Tennessee Notary Public
  • Photo ID, in the room
  • On time, or she calls first
  • Same-day reply

Services

Customary notary work, listed so the page is useful while the final menu is settled. Nothing here is a fee, and nothing here is a specialty that has not been confirmed.

01

Acknowledgments

The signer acknowledges a signature already made, or signs in front of Wendy. Identity is checked either way.

02

Jurats

A sworn or affirmed statement. She administers the oath. She does not write the statement.

03

Oaths

A spoken oath or affirmation, given in person, when that is the whole request.

04

Affidavits

Sworn statements prepared by someone else. She notarizes them. She does not draft them.

05

Powers of attorney

Authority given from one person to another, with every signer identified.

06

Loan signings

Real estate and loan packages. Listed as customary work until signing-agent appointments are confirmed.

07

Mobile notary

Home, office, hospital, or care facility. The trip is scheduled. It is not assumed.

08

Everyday documents

Titles, permissions, and copy certifications only in the cases Tennessee actually allows.

How an appointment goes

Four steps. The standard is simple: prepared, punctual, and finished before you leave.

Step 01

Describe the paper

What it is, how many signers, and whether anyone needs a visit at home or in a care facility.

Step 02

Keep the time

The appointment starts when it was set. If she will be late, she calls before that time, not after.

Step 03

Come ready

Photo ID, the unsigned document, and witnesses if the document demands them.

Step 04

Leave finished

Certificate completed, stamp on the document, and your papers back in your hands.

What to bring

  • Current government-issued photo identification for every signer.
  • Every signer, physically present.
  • The document filled in, not signed early, with no blanks left to fill in later.
  • Any witnesses the document itself requires.
  • The fee quoted for that appointment. Prices are not published on this sample.
  • A few minutes to spare. If you will be late, call before the time that was set.

What this practice does not do

  • Give legal advice, choose a form, or draft the document.
  • Issue an apostille. That comes from the Tennessee Secretary of State.
  • Notarize a blank page, or identify a person who is not in the room.

Prompt is a promise, not a mood.

You should not have to wonder whether the notary is on the way. The place is named, the signers are named, and the document is described before anyone drives across town. If she will be late, you hear it first. She asks the same courtesy in return.

Calls and notes are returned the same day. The papers themselves are not a conversation she continues.
