Cleveland, Tennessee

A calm signature, when the paper matters.

Serendipity Notary is Wendy Sheets’ practice. She meets you for acknowledgments, jurats, affidavits, and the other documents that need a proper witness with a stamp — at Stuart Road, or wherever you already are.

What people usually need.

A starting list of customary notary work, written so the page has something true to hold. Wendy will narrow it before this is the live site.

01

Acknowledgments

You sign in her presence. She certifies that you did, and that you meant to.

02

Jurats

A sworn or affirmed statement. The signature follows the oath, not the other way around.

03

Oaths & affirmations

The spoken promise itself, when a form asks for one and nothing more elaborate.

04

Affidavits

Written statements that have to be sworn before they will be accepted.

05

Powers of attorney

Granting authority to someone else. Slow, clear, and done with both people identified.

06

Real estate & loans

Closings and loan packages. On this list as a placeholder until Wendy confirms she offers signing work.

07

Mobile visits

Home, hospital, office, or a quiet table. Travel details are settled when the appointment is.

08

Everyday papers

Titles, permissions, and copies where Tennessee allows a notary to certify them.

Show up. Check the ID. Watch the signature. Stamp it. Hand it back.
The whole job, in one breath
01

Write

Say what the document is, who must sign, and where you are.

02

Choose

Stuart Road, or a place Wendy can reach. Evenings exist, by request.

03

Bring

Photo ID, the unsigned document, and any witness the paper itself names.

04

Finish

The certificate is completed while you are there. You leave with your own paper.

Bring these.

  • A current government photo ID. A driver license, passport, or state ID.
  • Every person who has to sign. They must be in the room.
  • The document, complete, with no signature on it yet.
  • Witnesses if the document requires them. Wendy’s commission does not replace a witness line.
  • Payment, once she has told you the fee. Fees are not set on this sample.

Leave these expectations behind.

  • Legal advice. A notary identifies signers and completes certificates. She does not draft your documents or tell you which form to use.
  • An apostille. The Tennessee Secretary of State issues those. She can tell you where to ask.
  • A notarization of a blank, or of someone who could not come.

The notary

Wendy Sheets.

The site wears a garden instead of a courthouse column. The work is still ordinary and exact. Someone needs a signature that will hold up, and they would like the person holding the stamp to be kind about the calendar.

Serendipity, in her use of the word, is not luck. It is the relief of the right help arriving on an ordinary Tuesday.

Where

Cleveland and Bradley County. Nearby communities when the day allows. The miles she will drive are still being decided.

Prepared. Punctual. Private. Those three are not placeholders.
