Four moves.
Name the document
Type, number of signers, and whether anyone is bedside.
Fix time and place
Stuart Road, or an address she agrees to drive.
Appear with ID
Unsigned document. No blanks. Witnesses if the paper requires them.
Leave with it done
Stamp, certificate, your document returned.
Bring
Nothing extra.
- Current government photo ID.
- Each signer, in the room.
- The complete document, not yet signed.
- Witnesses named by the document, if any.
- The fee already quoted. This sample does not publish prices.
Outside the commission
She will decline.
- Legal advice, document drafting, or “which form should I use.”
- Apostilles. Those are issued by the Tennessee Secretary of State.
- Blank pages, absent signers, and signatures already required to be watched.
